Originally, the bastide of Château de Servières in Marseille's 15th arrondissement was the first place in France to host a contemporary art gallery in a social centre in 1988. Since 2007, it has been housed in a municipal building in the city centre. The association is continuing and developing its project to support artists through production aid, reconfigured spaces and a programme of exhibitions of emerging and established artists from the local, national and international scene, complemented by a mediation component for audiences far removed from the cultural offer. The association initiates and co-produces 'hors-les-murs' projects: Marcel Longchamp, Arts Ephémères and Ouvertures d'Ateliers d'Artistes.
Since 2014, it has produced PAREIDOLIE, the international contemporary drawing fair, which brings drawing to our city like never before. Under its impetus, the Saison du Dessin (Drawing Season) boosts the influence of this medium across the Mediterranean arc through around thirty partners from August to December.

Jean-Philippe Roubaud's technical virtuosity is close to classical academicism, but his drawings are nonetheless a witness to the times in which he lives, pencilling in the semantic diversity of his times in black and white. Paper, the classic medium for drawing, is transformed from plane to volume, from trompe l'oeil to abstraction. If the artist's work is rooted in drawing, it's because it allows him to mix mediums indirectly. Free to borrow the imaginary from the real, to assemble or interpret in order to create an image, his work brings together opposites, culture and sub-culture as well as the triviality of the world.
As part of the Saison du Dessin and the Ministry of Culture's Art & Mondes du Travail programme, a residency at Société Milhe et Avons, with the support of DRAC Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
With KoLatt, Mayco Naing, Yadanar Win.
This exhibition brings together three Burmese artists for the first time in Marseille, and reflects the upheavals in their country, marked by war, coups d'état and censorship. Through photography, video and painting, they explore life in exile, identity crises and the silence imposed by a failing state. Their work tackles the erasure of voices through censorship, offering a glimpse into the realities of Myanmar's current crisis and amplifying the unheard voices of a nation in distress, blending personal and political narratives into a powerful testament of resilience and resistance.
Exhibition as part of the Festival Visions d'exil organised by the Atelier des artistes en exil with the support of ADAGP.
