With a view to creating a space for dialogue and expression between the city's Métiers d'art and emerging art scene, le19M is setting up a temporary gallery, free and open to all, at Fort Saint-Jean. Through a programme of events showcasing artists, craftspeople, designers, associations and creative venues from Marseille's cultural scene, the aim of this collective project is to enhance and perpetuate the influence of the fashion and decoration arts and crafts, as well as passing on and discovering these skills to younger generations and the general public in and around Marseille.

In keeping with its commitment to promoting amateur practices since its opening, Galerie du 19M is offering a participatory embroidery workshop with the Montex embroidery workshop and the Paloma flou workshop. Book
Murmuration, a workshop offered by Aristide and Maison Lesage
To mark the centenary of the Lesage embroidery house, Aristide is proposing Murmuration, a monumental, travelling and evolving work, the first stage of which will be in Marseille. Book
Created on the initiative of the House of Chanel, le19M was inaugurated in January 2022 in Aubervilliers, at the gateway to Paris, at the heart of an urban area driven by tremendous energy. Its exceptional building, designed by Rudy Ricciotti, brings together under one roof eleven art houses, an embroidery school and nearly 700 craftsmen and experts, as well as the Galerie du 19M, a free cultural space with a multidisciplinary programme - exhibitions, workshops and conferences - designed with a community of partners. Centred on the values of craftsmanship and equipped with a café-restaurant, the gallery is open to all and aims to inspire people to take up careers in fashion and interior design.
