In the Graphic Arts Department, the exhibition draws parallels between the lives and works of Zwy Milshtein (1934-2020) and Vladimir Veličković (1935-2019), two artists from Eastern Europe who settled in France in the 1950s and 1960s, through their drawings of the 1980s.
This exhibition features rarely exhibited watercolours from the Louvre, Orsay and Petit Palais museums, as well as loans from regional museums. The exhibition follows the work of nineteenth-century Parisian and Norman artists (Delacroix, Isabey, Jongkind, Boudin, etc.), complemented by watercolourists from the Provençal School (Ziem, Courdouan, etc.) and the Nice School (Trachel, Mossa, etc.), through to the Neo-Impressionists (Pissarro, Signac, etc.).
